Melissa Burns
Melissa Burns has been practicing law since 2003. Her practice focuses primarily on estate planning, asset protection, liability protection, business formations, and probate. Before opening her practice, Melissa practiced complex business litigation and intellectual property litigation. Her litigation background gives her a well-rounded perspective on asset and liability protection.
Melissa serves as an adjunct professor at the University of North Texas, College of Law, teaching Practice Foundations. She serves on the Board of the Child Protection Connection working to improve the Foster Care System. Melissa is also a volunteer for Foundation for C.H.O.I.C.E, mentoring at-risk youth in D.I.S.D.
Melissa married her husband in 2005 and has two children (Jack and Kate). She loves spending time with her family and working on projects benefitting the Dallas Public Schools.
